By the time he faces Quigley, Berlanga will be a year inactive. I won't be surprised if Quigley beats him. Plus, anytime Hearn talks about a potential Berlanga/Canelo fight, he always says Berlanga needs more than one build-up fight. Canelo only has two realistic options: Bivol or Benavidez.

Trash fight at any stage of Canelo's career. He is much worse than JCC jr.

              Disappointed? No because it's expected

Its easy to bash Canelo now. Like Fury, he's making it easy. But will we be bashing Benavidez a year from now if HE hasn't moved up any taken on any monsters? Personally, I think in lieu of Canelo stepping to Benavidez, David should be blazing his own trail (whilst underlining his point and current place as the badass of 168) and calling for the scalp of 175lb monster Beterbiev. Tough talk impresses me until such time excuses are made for it to not move forward. Shame on Canelo for not giving Benavidez his rightful opportunity. Soon.....shame on Benavidez for all the jerking-off at 168 when there is an obvious unscaled-to-date mountain in your midst (and bonus....Benavidez wouldn't have a weight issue to contend with).

Lets see if a year from now if Benavidez moves forward despite the invisible hand currently holding him back. He's too damn compelling to sit on his thumbs.

Bump. Benavidez, Morrell, Bivol, Beterbiev, are all unavailable for September. Could he be facing Charlo next...?
