What's so special about bud and spence that they caouldnt get fight made? You're going to get well paid aren't you? People aren't interested in you fighting anyone else, so why the hold up in first place?

The PBC side didn't want the fight to get made until they exhausted all other options for Spence. They wanted him to fight Thurman next but Spence held firm on the comment that he would never give Thurman a payday so they basically had no other option than to fight Crawford at this point.
