Canelo hasn’t look dominant since his win over Plant. He was outclassed and frustrated by Bivol. He couldn’t put away an “older” GGG. And he wasn’t able to beat Ryder in dominant fashion as so many expected him to. Granted, Bivol is better than Canelo imo and GGG is still pretty solid even at 41. Ryder was also probably as motivated as he’ll ever be in the biggest fight of his life. So those fights were tough fights regardless. But, that doesn’t take away from the fact that Canelo hasn’t looked like Canelo since his win over Plant.

His high guard, left and right hooks upstairs and downstairs, eventually followed by uppercuts as his opponent’s started to bend was great during a stretch. Bivol showing how to beat it gives confidence to everyone else. Plus the more fights, the more footage you can see what works against him. I thought Ryder had an incredible physique and gave it his all. Canelo’s feet have slowed down. They were a weakness early and improved but now it makes sense that they will start to regress.
He’s now at the age where a lot of his opponents are younger less worn and hungrier than he is.

I don’t care to see another Bivol fight. Id love to see a Benevidez fight and I do think that it’s winnable for Canelo. Benevidez would really need a stoppage win. He’s just not stylish and aesthetic enough in the way he works to really win a lot of rounds visually against a Canelo, early anyways. Id love for them to go at in a fifteen rounder.

Lol I like David but hes not the one who makes the offers. Canelo has made upwards of 30-40mil a fight NO WAY David's promoter can match that.

This Canelo "undisputed" title feels hollow to me until he clears out the division, like a previous poster mentioned. As much as I admire him, something just feels wrong with this distinction, until he faces Benavides. The Charlo and Inoue undisputed titles are the only current undisputed men titles that feel complete for me right now.

Honestly I would prefer to see canelo avenge the bivol fight then Benavidez beat charlo or Andrade then a canelo v Benavidez fight wild be huge.
