Russell is the reason why Romero even got the title shot in the first place! Russell would've been able to beat Barroso. But no, he allowed his arrogance to get in the way of a good opportunity. Just like his older brother, Antuanne is self-sabotaging.

Davis' pattern of behavior...is to weight-drain bigger fighters or bring up smaller fighters. I am not interested in a Russell fight for that reason alone. If Russell could fight at 135, he would already be doing so. He's not a small 140lber.

KO'ed Barrios who stated he agreed to a rehydration clause. I'm not saying Davis can't beat Antuanne if they fought at 140. But, we're talking about a potential fight where Antuanne would be the one moving down. I'd 100% prefer a Cruz rematch over that. I completely agree that Cruz has been in cruise control since the Davis fight, but at least we know what he is at 135lb. Antuanne is a complete unknown at 135.

That's why I don't like that fight. Cruz has turned down BOTH Ryan Garcia and Shakur Stevenson! No Bueno! I'd prefer Tank to fight William Zepeda than Cruz!, just for him doing that! That's why I hope Canelo never fights Jermall Charlo unless he beats Benavidez! I don't like fighters sitting around waiting for Tank or Canelo!

2 years to late. When we wanted the rematch, team tank said no.

Now Haney and Shakur are the 2 fights that the people want from tank and all of a sudden the Cruz rematch is the go to...

Tank vs any hispanic is clearly the blueprint. Smdh

At least Cruz has been more active than Antuanne. Antuanne has had better opponents in his last two fights, but he's clearly following his brother's blueprint of inactivity unless he's getting the exact opponent/purse he wants.

But at least his Brother did it as a Champion. He's wasting his youth, and I'm sure his Brother is the one giving him bad advice!

Oh Please. Don’t run back the Cruz fight. Davis won clearly with an injured hand. Take on one of the risky fights for a change. This is why Tank gets very little respect from fans and Calvin Ford and Ellerbe sound like snakeskin salesmen trying to convince people Davis is a big star.
