Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford Believes He Would Have Beaten Floyd Mayweather

They came in a multitude of forms. Some were taller than others and attempted to box from the outside, while some packed on the muscle and did their best to rough him up on the inside. Still, no matter their physical dimensions and despite their extraneous game plans, Floyd Mayweather, each and every time, left the ring with his perfect record intact.

He should feel that way. That's why he's the best.
on resume and legacy obviously you'd have to favor Floyd.
But his struggles with Judah and Augustus tell that it'd be a goody. Zab didn't have Buds IQ and Emanuel didn't have Buds power or size.

Judah was still pretty lethal at the time Floyd made that fight. Others left off were Castillo and Maidana. But having said that, every fighter has less than stellar performances at times. Floyd included. But he still found ways to win. Crawford has also been hit clean as well. But not only are hypotheticals tough to call, it’s much more of a mistake to pick a winner thru comparisons. Mayweather vs Crawford would’ve been a great fight! But a dream is all it will ever be

You’re not wrong with the other parts of your comment tho! I agree with all the rest of it

Maybe Crawford thinks that he could've beaten Sugar Ray Leonard, and Sugar Ray Robinson, but I don't.
As for him believing that he would've beaten Mayweather, Mayweather beat every fighter that he faced, and even the fighter's who gave him problems.
Crawford should be concentrating on beating one fighter, and one fighter only, that one fighter being Errol Spence.
There is no guarantee that he'll be able to do that, so why is he thinking about fights that'll never happen, pay attention to the biggest of your career.
If you don't concentrate on the job at hand, you just might find out that you can't even beat Spence, let alone Mayweather.
I just threw in Leonard's, and Robinson's, name's in to further spotlight Crawford's ridiculous claim that he would've beaten Mayweather.

Mayweather would find a way to win in my opinion. His ability to adapt mid fight was incredible and in contrast to Bud, he showed it many times against a bunch of really good fighters.

Hypotheticals are just that, hypotheticals. But even if you believe Floyd would have beaten Crawford, you have to admit Crawford thinking otherwise is not crazy. Which, really, is the most anybody can claim in a mythical match up against Floyd.

He should feel this way. He knows Floyd’s NSB fantasy fight record is 0-45.

Can't agree with him on that one. Pretty Boy takes it easy at the lower weight class and Money Mayweather takes it at 147 but, it wouldn't be as easy.

We don't see enough of today's fighters to really do these types of hypothetical analysis without looking a bit foolish.
