Woah, just noticed that Vergil Ortiz has dropped the “Signed with Golden Boy Promotions” in both the headers on his Twitter and IG profiles. This is seriously bad news for Oscar and Co. as Vergil is the one fighter in Golden Boy stable that can become a P4P fighter. Hopkins, Oscar, and Eric better head over to Manny Robles gym ASAP and have a talk with Vergil to straighten whatever misunderstanding must of occurred. TBH, wouldn’t be surprised if that snake Mirigian is in Vergil’s ear telling him to sign with Top Rank or Matchroom .

Rick Mirigian is leading all of his current stable of fighters into making bad decisions i.e. Jose Ramirez, Arnold Barboza etc.. Vergil needs to watch out for that slick car salesman in no way is leaving Golden Boy a good idea for him. Oscar has built him up into the top of the welterweight division rankings steadily improving his opposition from fight to fight. No reason to look at Matchroom who US stable is nearly zilch besides Bam and Pacheco.

Benavidez screwed his own career growth up by being a torta and snorting coke, he just managed to shake that stigma.
