Figured I'd share since NSB does frequently say that BoxRec has no credibility. But in this case, it's because Spence has been inactive - just like they did with Keef when they elevated Jeff Horn to #1 after beating Manny.

It's just unfortunate that the orgs didn't come around for years, thanks to ESPN/Top Rank pushing the narrative.

It's only been 11 months....why do they pick arbitrary timelines? Why is impartiality so difficult for boxing fans and journalists?

Well, in this case we know what their motivation is. Look how they have Terence Crawford ranked ALL TIME as a welter (and who he's immediately above).

And ALL TIME pound-for-pound (and who he's immediately above):

Absolutely ridiculous hahaha. I bet the guy who made the change is a fat old head, about 45 years old with multiple kids by multiple women, and makes 30k a year.

They tend to like Crawford. Crawford over Whitaker and Trinidad, absolutely absurd, over Shane is absurd.

I wouldn't even put Crawford over Spinks.

11, 13 months, same-same, the fact remains he wasn't removed until the fight was announced. It doesn't matter....boxrec is only a reference
