Well yeah, all's I'm saying is that this is a boxing forum, the rest of those are just extra. This is not a site for anyone to come to discredit boxing. that's it. I understand it's not right to post negatively in other parts of this site, but to be honest most of them are less populated and far less important than this section IMO.

ive watched mma since ufc1. the gracie, abott, severn, those guys. seen few recent mma fights. the skill level of boxers over mma fighters is significantly greater.

saying mma is better than boxing is like saying slamball is better than basketball

Anyone who says any sport is better than another sport is simply ignorant. We have the freedom of choice, what you find entertaining may not be entertaining to the guys standing next to you, but that has no bearing on what is better or worse compared to something else.

While I will say the Orginal UFC's (up until the Dark Ages when Frank Shamrock was champion) the talent was less that talented. It was more along the line of what was the "Ultimate Style" not who was the best fighter.

Companies like the UFC/Pride/Dream/SF are the pinnacle and are used to showcase top talent and root out the wannabe's and sub-par fighters. The promotions like the one DMX and Butterbean are fighting in. Is basically former Major League players who have gone to Minor League ball.


This whole thing about "skill" is really getting to me. A skill is applied to what you are practicing. So saying the HW champion of the world is more skilled than a Mundial Champion or ADCC absolute champion or a K-1 Max Champion is a little ******.

Being an NFL Running back may take more skill than Boxing and MMA. But that doesn't mean because they are more skilled that they are better than Vitali Klitschko or Anderson Silva.

Check out the promotion's website. It will be an exhibition Boxing match, not an MMA match. He would've never made it in MMA anyways, takes too much talent for that. He'll do fine in his Boxing match tho.
