This guy needs to be knocked off his pedestal a bit. He thinks he’s the best at 135 but he hasn’t faced any of the other top fighters. His best win is Valdez and he’s a very limited brawler.

Someone needs to put Shakur's feet back on the ground. He really hasn't established himself at the lightweight division and yet he thinks that he's the best. This guy is getting irritating.

Best win is Valdez? You’re right! But that’s a HUGE quality win to have on his resume. AND it was a massacre! Up until this weekend, that’s better win than Haney has on his resume. A win over Valdez is a better win than Tank has on his resume, and I’m a Tank fan! Not to mention that Stevenson is just now moving up the charts and getting his name out there. He’s not a veteran fighter that has taken cupcake fights for the first 25 wins. He’s coming hard. I’m not a Stevenson fan really, but the man is the goods. In todays game, getting a big win like a win against Valdez, says a lot. The best don’t always fight the best.

I find him extremely irritating too (and, from what I've read about him outside the ring, not a particularly likeable person) but he's entitled - in fact, if he has any self-belief , obligated - to believe he's the best.

As you say though, he now needs to establish himself at 135. But he does that by fighting the best, which are the fights he's calling for.

Undisputed champion and he is still a bum in your eyes? I don’t know what these champions get up to in their private lives and neither do I care. He has called out fighters for a long time and from what I’ve seen has never backed out or run in a different direction when being called out.
He’s not the first fighter to be big at a weight class
