If youre going to call Pac former flyweight then you have to call Floyd former super featherweight and Crawford former lightweight

Give me a break I could name a ton of WW match ups that we're way way bigger than this fight will ever be. This fight is a solid match up, but far from a fight that transcends boxing like Mayweather vs Pacquiao, De la Hoya vs Trinidad or De la Hoya vs Mosley, Chavez vs Whitaker, and if you want to talk about a little over forty, you can talk about Leonard vs Hearns, Duran vs Leonard, ect ect you get it. Those match ups had two guys with a proven record, who have beaten some of the best of those times. Here you have Spence who has proven he's a solid WW, beaten some solid competition but still seems to have a lot to be desired but overall proven, on the other side you have a guy who's resume is sub -par, people like to talk about titles and undisputed! But to that I say, who has he beaten of relevance? Paper titles IMO, but hey to each it's own, but he has a chance to prove something, finally! So solid match up that's 4 years to late, better late than never but it's far from a Big Fight.

Good fight while it lasts, but Crawford will eventually walk Spence into a very big shot, and that will be that. I see almost no path to victory for Earl. He's not physically stronger than Bud because Bud has a wrestling background. He's not the puncher that Crawford is and he's a tick slower, especially from the outside. The chins are about even, maybe slight edge to Spence. Reach advantage to Bud, and the harder jab belongs to Bud. Crawford TKO 9.

It's nice to see a big fight without an ******* in it.

Hoping Bud brings the best out of Spence and we see a classic.
A hundred percent. I love both guys and their styles. I just feel like Crawford has that dog in him. I'm from Houston so it pains me to say that. I love Spence and I want nobody injured but my heart tells me Bud.

They’re not as great as mayweather and pac nor Trinidad and Oscar but they’ll likely make for a much better fight that neither of those matches were.

DLH-Trinidad and DLH-Mosley were also way bigger.

              Whitaker-Chavez was way bigger.

Not even close, belts don’t make a fight big. Cotto-Margarito had more hype and lived up to the hype.

Mayweather-Pacquiao was way bigger even though some fans want to talk sh/t about it being past due, it still sold millions of PPVs.

              Even Mayweather-Hatton was bigger.

Idk what Crawford is smoking, I guess he’s entitled to his own opinion. Belts don’t make the fight big.

This is a fine fight and it should be mentioned with some of the best welterweight matchups of previous years, if it lives up to expectations. The problem as I see it, its that in boxing today, it shouldn't be only about 2 guys facing eachother. In the 80's for example, you had Leonard, Duran, Palomino, Cuevas, Hearns, Benitez, Hagler, etc, and many others, and for the most part, they were all fighting eachother. Today you have another great welterweight- Boots Ennis, and he's being overlooked and avoided, while all the light is being shined on this fight, as if it's all that matters at welterweight. In the golden era, he would be thrown in the mix, and others would be willing to face him, and it would make boxing that much better. Thurman would be fighting instead of posturing on the internet and in interviews.

Fights a little too late but I'm glad it's here finally.

I think Bud is going to surprise a lot of people in this one he has way more tools in his arsenal where as Spence is good at what he does but he's pretty one dimensional and that rarely ends well vs a boxer-puncher like Crawford

Two overrated p4p fighters past their prime and largely irrelevant due to inactivity. Ye I don't think so.
