Sucks for Paulie, everyone knows he won the fight with Diaz, I just hope an imaginary loss on paper doesn't hinder his chances at getting better fights.

BoxingScene.com was advised that a rematch between former champions Paulie Malignaggi and Juan Diaz is now a dead issue. Diaz, and his manager Willie Savannah, were unhappy with the presented terms and turned down the fight. The two main issues were the money and the weight. From what I was able to find out, Diaz was going to make a little less than what he had earned for the August fight with Malignaggi. He wanted to make more. They were not happy about the proposed weight of 140-pounds. They wanted the fight to take place at 138.5; the same catch-weight as the August bout. [details]

Malignaggi is pissed. I don't blame him, he got robbed, he wants a rematch. Juan Diaz is coming out of this looking like a major bad guy.

Diaz is a *****.... he has no drawing power whatsoever anymore... HBO will probably dump his ass. If he gets cut, he's OUT and if he loses, the judges give him the fight anyway...

Sometimes these fighters amaze me.....instead of collecting a paycheck, Diaz rather sit and play some BS waiting game, he's complaining about his split of the purse....Now the fool gets a split of $0.00......yeah I guess it makes perfect sense........

diaz can sell out a fight in houston why sign for chump change when he's guaranteed more in houston....many in here callin him a puss and all but dont even understand the economis of this game.....he's not ****** and why would he accept less money to just chase paulies ass all over the ring again....and just because some people actually had diaz winning a close fight that means they are biased....come on fellas.....watch it without the sound as if you were there live.....many ringside respected writers actually had diaz by one or two points based on aggression and harder shots....but thats a dead issue so im done with it but calling him a puss is just plain ******

This. Diaz is 100x more exciting than Malignaggi. The only thing Malignaggi brings is a loud mouth, but you can't hear his loud mouth when he fights.

Paulie is a throwback

Paulie is 100% correct and any1 that defends Diaz on this is just a fanboy straight up.
Diaz knows he didn't beat Paulie and don't want the rematch.If Diaz did want the rematch then he would make sure that it happens.Diaz complains about the money and the weight...yeh OK!!So now he makes nothing and won't fight because of 1 pound and a half...No respect for that puss.

Though Paulie is feather fisted, his speed and other kill would give any average opponent dificulties... Forget Diaz.. he is nothing but a ducker and coward protected by his hometown..
