He shouldn't, Hatton is over the hill. He's not a great fighter, he has a padded record. If Hatton beats JMM, I will be very impressed.

I think all of you are thinking that hatton is shot anymore after his performance with pacquiao, it was pacquiao just too good for hatton pacquiao has an advantage in all area especially in speed and power. if marquez and hatton ever fight you will be shock how easily he will destroy marquez, marquez in 135 above becomes slower and doesn't have footwork speed to get away with hatton, hatton would easily outmuscled marquez at 140lbs.

        Anyway... Hatton needs to retire.
hhaha...clown. you fools are overrating mannys power.

floyds power and manny's differ but floyd has more power than manny. no questions.

stop letting his KO over hatton fool you.

Pac hit a weight/energy drained DLH with everything and couldnt drop him. Floyd hhit DLH with two right hands and buckled him twice. didnt even load punches. a strong 150+ lbs DLH

pacs power like his skill level is OVERATED

I think Hatton would be the one that would deserve credit if he beat JMM. Can't say the same thing when the shoe is on the other foot. Hatton only as one HOF caliber fighter on his resume with Tszyu and JMM already has two in Casamayor and Barrera. If JMM lost this fight, his legacy and resume would take a bigger hit than it would if he fought a dangerous contender like Bradley or Alexander. I have no desire to see this fight. JMM is a bonafied super star in his own right after the Floyd fight did the PPV #s it did. He can make money fighting anybody now. I want him to pursue greatness and not brand name fighters with no title and happen to be damaged goods.

he should. any fighter should get credit for beating hatton. i was one of those people down playing hatton because i didnt like the amount of credit that mayweather and pacquiao got after beating him, they were looked at as boxing gods. casamayor, diaz, hatton, all good wins against good fighters.

Yes the problem is that Hatton would get far more credit for beating Marquez than Marquez would get for beating Hatton.

Especially if Marquez is still pushing for JMM-Pac III. If Marquez loses to Hatton, a guy that Pac brutally KO'ed in the second round, then say goodbye to JMM's second rematch with Pac.

Most people give Pacquiao credit for beating Hatton, I would give JMM credit... its still a good name on your resume regardless, would be a good win if he can pull it off.

Marquez should go all out and fight Bradley. Bradley is a good pressure fighter, great conditioning, YET has been knocked down and can be outboxed. a good style match-up IMO for Marquez. Bradley may prove to be too much, but Marquez has taken on the best so far, so i wouldnt think he would avoid the top JWW if he plans on staying at 140.

The sad thing is with JMM is that he is not a big draw at the gate. That is why he has had to resort to going to other peoples' home towns to fight them like with Juan Diaz and Chris John. He would have to do the same thing probably if he fought Bradley as well. Hopefully the fight with Floyd didn't hurt JMM's commercial attraction with TV viewers. Does anybody know what Bradley drew at the gate of his fights in Cali? That would be a dangerous fight for JMM to take on the West Coast. They should have it in LA so the territory is neutral. I'm sure a lot of Mexicans would come out and support JMM if it was at a location like that.
