True. I actually gave a round or 2 to Gomez in that fight, and he had Vitali cut at some point (can't remember if it was a headbutt or a punch). It was mildly competitive compared to last Saturday.

I think you're assuming we've seen the best of him. I think he's going to come back a better fighter. He knows now he can't afford the extra weight because he needs to be faster.

Arreola showed he has a ton of balls and a ton of heart. The man basically walked through everything Vitali had and he still didn't want to quit.

This is what encourages me about Arreola. A C- fighter would've crumbled much sooner, as this was a brilliant performance by Vitali.

There's no sense in people bashing Arreola, he did the absolute best he could. I think he'll be back as a better fighter. I'd like to see him give up the beer and come in for his next fight at 230-235.
