The problem is Haney making 135! The other 3 don't have that problem! If Teo beats Taylor, isn't Haney vs. Lopez @ 140 just as lucrative as Haney vs. Shakur? Isn't Haney vs. Ryan Garcia @ 140 just as lucrative as Haney vs. Shakur? Of course Tank is a different animal, but fighting Tank, while struggling to make 135 is not a good look for Devin Haney! Devin should move to 140, and let's start the negotiations for Tank vs. Shakur! That's THE FIGHT to make at 135!

Time Line:
Haney beat curious George (AKA "the ghost of Carlos Baldomir") while at the same time Arum is negotiating a fight between Teo and Taylor AND negotiating Haney vs the winner on the back end. Teofimo is unhappy with Arums favoritism toward Devin Haney and makes it known.
Fast forward, Devin Haney loses the fight by all in attendance (hometown) yet still....Devin receives a ridiculous score card by grifter Dave Morrtti.
Today, people are expected to forget what their eyes see and instead accept that Arum just happen to pick the winner ahead of negotiations that would allow him to maintain control over two divisions by pure coincidence....
And everyone is supposed to be ok with that??Last edited by factsarenice; 05-22-2023, 12:59 PM.Comment

Haney can try to rationalize and convince himself he won. You can only hide behind a mask for so long. If he struggled against a smaller guy with average power, he best pray not to face someone in the higher division with some skills and power.Comment

If you had Loma winning that fight 8-4, let's just say I don't trust your judgment when it comes to scoring fights.Comment

Smaller guy with average power is not the best way to describe Loma. Loma is by far the better boxer of the two H2H and had they fought 5 years ago like Haney wanted, it would've been all Loma.Comment

At the time of the fight, Loma is the smaller guy that is not known as a KO puncher. That statement isn't incorrect.
Doesn't take away the fact that Loma is the better fighter and the better puncher of the two. Loma just doesn't have enough power to knock down a much bigger guy that should be competing at a higher weight. Which says a lot about Haney.Comment
