It certainly did not hurt. They would still have to do more but that is a very good starting off point. -
Possibly, but Mayweather could face Mosley before facing Pacquiao. Also, there have been rumblings from the Pacquiao camp indicating that they might not be too committed on having a bout with Mayweather any longer.Comment

not guarantee, no. I still want to see the fight and wish everything wasn't based on money, but I'm still not convinced of Shane's drawing viability. Mayweather is a draw but he needs the one he's fighting to be a draw too. JMM did that, he had pretty much a whole nation and a whole demographic of America behind him. Manny can definitely do that, as can Cotto. If you keep it all "in house" with a Shane-Floyd fight, it might not generate as much buzz.
I think the Mosely-Floyd matchup is more something that would be done for the purists and those who are more knowledgable about boxing that realize what a great matchup it would be...but it might be a harder sell to your average casual fan.Comment

No, it was already guarunteed PPV success just by having Floyds name attached to it. He's the biggest cash cow in combat sports right now.Comment

Certainly helps, It was live on HBO and around the world and am sure people(Fans) would be curious about Mosley so yes it can only help, Boxing need confrontations like this and i remember this sort of things happening all the time in the 70's-80's..Comment
