During his prime, he brought us many electric moments that will never be forgotten. From the tremendous technique he displayed during his amateur days to his pro bouts that gained him worldwide recognition, he is an athlete worth admiring.

However, he has been unable to transfer this great skill to the biggest fights in his career.

Tonight, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney, making it his third career loss.

It is clear now that Lomachenko has arrived at the point of his career where it's best for him to call it quits. He has been great, but not elite enough to ascend the top echelon.

Lomachenko was/is elite enough to be in the top echelon as many dare I say majority saw him winning this fight tonight, albeit not enough for it to be a highway robbery. Regardless your bottom line is correct, at 35 he is only going to slow down, and if he was unable to clearly defeat Haney, I ponder what other fighters he would be able to, perhaps Tank? In anycase, he might have one more great fight left in him against a great fighter, and after that he should call it quits.
