The question should be how many tickets have they sold at that amount.

because mayweather has never been able to sell at the gate.. his fan boys like him, just not enough to go watch him fight live.
it's what you call having bandwagon fans, they jump on to the hottest new thing or someone they think is the best or undefeatable.
a bandwagon fan wont put the money or effort into watching their fighter fight,
they are contempt with staying at home & talking the big talk

Pac and Cotto brings the two top exciting fighters together...which is why it costs more money cuse u were just paying to see Mayweather kick Marquezs butt for 12 rounds.

$4,500 for ringside seats??? You want it to cost more than that for a tune-up man?

$10,000 is the standard price for ringside seats for a Mega Fight.

Exactly. Those are prices people want to get for them and aren't necessarily a reflection of the market value. They may end up having to drop the price in order for them to sell.

I could put a ticket up on stubhub and ask $1,000,000 but it doesn't mean anything unless people are actually willing to pay that price.

It's a bigger event. Mayweather hasn't fought in 2 years against an opponent who isn't immensely popular in the U.S. The PPV numbers kicked ass though so no one should bash Floyd.
