I Had A Vision--This Is How Lomachenko vs Haney Will Go

I'm getting everything ready for the fight tonight. Have some good food, some nice beverages, everything is almost in place. And as I was doing this, I had an epiphany. I know how Loma is going to fight Devin, which won't be a surprise to many, but I also know how Devin will fight Loma. Loma is going to do what Diaz did, which is take away Devin's jab and push him to the ropes. Loma is going to rip Haney to the body early on, which will set him up nicely for the clean head shots. That's what he's going to do.

But how Devin is going to fight is not so clear to some. At least, it wasn't to me. But after reflecting on Devin's training videos; his pad work, his sparring, etc., and then having thought about what he's said throughout the week, I know what Devin is going to do. Devin is not going to stick and move. He's not going to do that. He's actually going to PRESSURE Lomachenko. He's going to attack Loma's body. And he's not just going to do this any old way; he's going to model his approach after Salido. He's going to mimic Salido.

Devin has been training for short range body shots all month. He's been fighting guys in midrange. He's actually going to GIVE UP his length to get in at Loma's body on the inside and try to push Loma backward.

For me, Haney's best bet is to jab and move. Keep Loma on the outside. But Haney's not going to do that. He's going to do half of Loma's job for him and try to find Loma at his own game. Haney gave his plan away when he said "Salido was his most interesting fight." He said that.

So when you place your bets or double down from here until the fight, know this, how do you think the fight will look now? Do you think Haney can pull a Salido on Loma? I don't think so at all. It's not his style or his skillset. But he thinks he's so much bigger than Loma, so this is what he's going to do. He's going to "show him who the bigger man is." Haney's given himself extra time to rehydrate too.

Can Haney do a Salido on Loma? Devin definitely low blows a lot! Look at that Diaz fight! Is this going to backfire on Haney?
