I hope he gets a fine for pushing Loma was uncalled for and childish. I hope the big nosed simpleton gets destroyed by hi tech and schooled.
Why does Devin Haney have 36 hours to rehydrate? Why is the weigh-in so early?

Devins massive at the weight so it's obvious bias for him to have an advantageMike Coppinger tweeted that the weigh-in happened at 9AM, giving Devin Haney 36 hours to rehydrate, and quote, "This is the typical weigh-in time for all Matchroom and UFC fights so nothing out of the ordinary."
What is the explanation here? This is a Top Rank boxing card, not a Matchroom or UFC card, so Coppinger's excuse for the early weigh-in does not fly.
This will be a huge advantage and easy money if you put it on haneyComment

It was probably done for Haney's safety since he's obviously had a hard time cutting the weight. It's not my preference, I would really like it if we went back to same day weigh ins, but that's another topic.Comment

Done for Haney's safety? You are greatly mistaken. Bill Haney ensured his son could get as much time to pack on the pounds as possible. They know they are overmatched in sell, so they are doing everything they can to try to get the edge and advantage before the fight starts. When you have 20 pounds extra weight than the guy you're fighting, you can take more punishment because the punches are not as strong, and you can dish out more punishment with that extra weight to leverage into the attack.
I personally call it cheating. Others call it A-side privilege.Comment

There's a fine line between the "safety" narrative and having advantages. I personally think it's both. I don't really understand why Haney would get A-side advantages when he's not truly a Top Rank fighter, less accomplished than Loma, and less famous. I think this was pitched as a safety thing that could give Haney an advantage, but you have to understand it may also not be enough to grant him an advantage. That's the risk that comes with all drastic weight cuts.

That would make sense
I said 11 in the morning , usually the main event is the next night around that time
That would make it 24 hours or less in case someone needed extra time to lose weightComment

It won't help him. Haney is going down

Devin can’t gain more than 10 lbs over night anyway unless he’s going to forfeit his IBF title.Mike Coppinger tweeted that the weigh-in happened at 9AM, giving Devin Haney 36 hours to rehydrate, and quote, "This is the typical weigh-in time for all Matchroom and UFC fights so nothing out of the ordinary."
