PaulieMalignaggi, has his opinion and to be honest no one has to agree with it and I'm one of those and yes Lomachenko has faced better opponents than say Haney however none of those fighters has what Haney has, in speed nor talent plus lets keep in mind you only as good as your last fight; well Lomachenko looked bad whereas Haney coming off two good wins; back to back against a guy who beat Teofimo Lopez. Size and age also favor Haney not to mention an undefeated record which speaks volumes so Paulie can go figure out why he keeps getting fired and sit his asS down somewhere.
If Teo is the yardstick its flawed, the Teo that beat Loma was not the same Teo that lost to Kambosis, not close, I feel Loma would stop Kambosis.
Haney has all the advantages and is a very good boxer, but Loma has the ability to win this fight with his feet which is what makes the fight interesting.
Never forget Paulie's schooling of prime Judah. He's also a great commentator, and of course, he battered McGregor in sparring when only around 20% fit. He purposely lost his bare knuckle fight in an attempt to lure in McGregor.
Nash calls it, Lomachenko by TKO as Haney opts not to come out for Round 11 after taking a sustained beating, blaming a bruised fingernail. He plans to return in the Winter, where he fights Linares in a much anticipated rematch. Lomachenko states he will attend the Lopez vs Taylor fight, but will not rematch Haney as he has proved his point and he only has two fights left.
After that Lomachenko is going to train the 4th coming of Chisora, after Delboy, War, and Old, he will reinvent himself as Derek Chisora PPV, and launch another attack on the world scene of HW boxing. Nash out
Lotta hate for Paulie... but I find his commentary usual very solid. He's even went against the 'status quo' fighters
now and then when they were losing. Which may be why networks aren't so keen on him. But still I respect his eye
for the sport. Anyway, very close fight, but IMO Loma pulls out a W. Just my 37 cents worth, that's all.
