Comments Thread For: Liam Smith, If Given The Opportunity, Would Love a Showdown Against Billy Joe Saunders

Few, if any, were expecting Liam Smith to walk through Chris Eubank Jr. Originally, the two locked horns on January 21st, at the Manchester Arena. Eubank, before confidently strolling his way to the ring, believed that he had bigger fish to fry.

I've never enjoyed watching BJS fight, he almost lost to eubanks, and has been turned in to a cripple by canelo.

    No thanks.

Probably in luck, I’d be heavily surprised if this happened. If it did, it would be 165 at an absolute minimum, and I’d be surprised if BJS could even still make 168. That make the fight a non-starter. If it happens I’d be shocked.

If bjs takes the fight it'd have to be at a catch weight of 200 lbs

Precisely, I think he might be too far gone for a comeback. If he does I think Eubank makes sense at 168 if (and it’s a big if) he can get down there. They’d sell that fight well.

billy is a super middleweight and will probably struggle to make that these days , Liam is a light middleweight and should stick to it .Looked like Jr. fell a cropper messing with weights.
