  • Comments Thread For: Savannah Marshall: I Believe I'm At World Level, These Are The Sort Of Fights I Want

Savannah Marshall didn't come this far just to get this far. There remains plenty of unchecked boxes in the career of the two-time Olympian and former WBO middleweight titlist, who envisions a second title reign in her future. Marshall has the opportunity to add to her resume as she next

Good fight on paper, I hope it lives up to it. Franchon, while not as skilled as Shields, is a good fighter that's tough as nails. Marshall is taller and has more power, it should be entertaining.

Agreed with you, some of the women fights are better than some of the men,

Yeah Buatsi is pretty boring, but Okolie is even worse. I would rather chew on batteries than watch his fights. Plus, there's a little storyline, Marshall beat Franchon in the amateurs in a fight Crews-Dezurn felt that she won, so she's been wanting her lick back ever since.

Crews has been offered the fight with Marshall 3 times over the years before this. Crews ducked every single time with ridiculous excuses. At no point other than after "Losing" to Shields has Crews been willing to fight Marshall. She hasn't wanted her "Lick back" in any way. That is a lie.

But it's here now. Marshall is going to smack her up and send her packing. Crews thinks a "Defeat" last time out will help her. It won't. But it at least got her in the ring this time. Then on to the Shields rematch.

Nash believes that Marshall will win 2 fights this night. She'll KO Crews in Round 3, call out Shields who is in attendance, Shields gets in the ring, they square off, Shields throws a couple of her trademark, scoring, tippy-tappy punches, before Marshall lands a punch from the Gods, sending Shields down and out.

Shields rises minutes later, hands Marshall her Gwoat chain, and demands that her loss be added to her Boxrec record. They have a post fight interview and both women agree and shake on a final decider, with the fight to take place in Eddie Hearn's kitchen, with both women wearing aprons and oven mitts for gloves, over 12 rounds, breaking many more new boundaries for women's boxing. Nash out
