Also, its clear that he doesn't want to fight Benavidez for the same reason that he doesn't want to fight Bivol at 168, he's doesn't want to fight anyone at 168 that could possibly beat him for the titles.
Canelo just fought in front of 55,000 fans and had a guarantee of $10 million plus PPV upside.

Bivol had a guarantee of $500,000 for his last fight with Zurdo.

Canelo is absolutely in the driver’s seat.

You have a condition that you might want to get checked out before it consumes you. Now, open up, and let the plane drop the baby food on your toothless gums.

I repeat, money is not the most important thing to Bivol at the moment, Cinnabon's titles are.

There you go again, its clearly overtaking your sanity. They have special classes for that. Now get your hand out of Cinnabon's back pocket.

That may be. But the financial reality is that Canelo is in the driver’s seat, Bivol can’t dictate anything to him.

If Canelo isn’t happy with the terms he’ll just move on to someone else and Bivol can go back to making $500,000 guarantees. (For reference John Ryder just got a $1 million guarantee.)

Then Cinnabon should move on and stop chirping about it, the winner of their fight has stated he only wants to fight for Canelo's belts, if not, kick rocks.

Could of sworn Canelo’s reason for wanting to rematch Bivol at 75 besides revenge was that he didn’t want to be criticized for bringing Bivol down to 68 and wants to try and avenge that loss at the same weight of the first fight. If Canelo vs Bivol come to terms for the rematch in September, and Canelo wins then they’d be 1-1 and then they can make the trilogy at 68… if Bivol wins again, won’t be any trilogy at any weight.

It doesn't really need to be a rematch because the first fight wasn't close, besides the crooked cards. Canelo had the opportunity to enforce his rematch clause for another opportunity at Bivol's belt, but he chose not to, and instead ran off to pull GGG out of the senior citizen's home to fight for a third time. The world doesn't revolve around what Canelo wants, Bivol won the fight and defended his title against Cinnabon, now Bivol says he's only interested in the fight if Canelo has to defend his titles at 168. Canelo wouldn't be criticized for accepting the fight at 168 because that's what the winner, Bivol, has demanded. He's using it as an excuse not to put his belts on the line, in case he loses.
