I make Morales favourite. I think that’s a big ask for Inoue. Morales was a big 122 lb’er.

Erik Morales vs Naoya Inoue (Hypothetical) (122)

It is a great match up and could play out in several different ways depending on how much Morales could rile up Inoue and get him to fight overly emotional. That in my opinion is Morales best shot.
In my opinion, I truly believe that Inoue (at this point in his career) has too much skills, and tactics all combined with insane athleticism that he would be able to comfortably out point Morales had he chose to fight a strictly tactical fight where he doesn't chase a knockout.danceswithfire

What is it that you are trying to say? That he lost because he wasn't in his prime? If a boxers with belts in three different weight class at 27yo is not in his prime yet, yes I guess weren't on the same page. He lost because he were fighting hall of fame boxers, and when you do that, unlike canelo, you will win and lose, opposition quality has a lot to do that, that's why ginger has cherrypicked his way to the top, old washed out fighters and a couple of gifts.
that’s my definition of prime, when the fighter is at the peak of his powers. You define yours.
when I say prime version of me, it’s the best i ever looked, at the best of my abilities. It could be at my 27th or 24th. With pacquiao it’s when he was 29-33. Same for a lot of fighters or basketball players or any other sports.

“Prime fighters are fighters who have reached their peak in terms of skill and age.”
”In boxing, the term "prime" refers to the period in a boxer's career when they are at their peak physical and mental condition, performing at their best and achieving their highest level of success. This is typically when a boxer is in their physical and mental peak, with a combination of experience, skill, strength, speed, and conditioning all coming together to make them a formidable force in the ring.”
The second one is obviously from an AI chat gpt.
So if pacquiao never gotten significantly better from that version of him that fought Marquez or Morales then I would have considered it his absolute prime, obviously hindsight is needed and his career should unfold first for us to know. Thing is that version of him doesn’t even have a right hook yet, his footwork has no angles yet. So i can’t consider that his prime when he has not honed a lot of his skills yet and hasn’t perfected his style.

You don’t choose a one handed version of pacquiao in fantasy albeit that version is still very good.

Manny would have never beaten a young in his prime Morales, that's a fact proved by the first fight.
Inoue is the best Japanese fighter ever but Morales would not be hurt by his shots, young Morales had a titanium chin.

Morales has more speed, more power (shows by Morales fighting at super light and could still hit for example when he fought danny garcia 1st fight).
Better chin, Morales was able to take all of Chino Maidana's punches and made it a close fight.
Morales was a huge 122 pounder.
If you say Inoue beats Morales, then you are saying Inoue is better than Pacquiao and that's not true.

Styles make fights, JMM would have giving him a tough night no matter the timeline.
marquez wasn’t in his prime when he beat pacquiao. He doesn’t need to be in his prime to beat pacquiao. Pacquiao’s style is tailor made for Marquez’s style. He would have trouble with marquez regardless of age, the only reason it’s competitive because pacquiao is so physically gifted he could actually overcome the deficit, he has those extra gears to do so. They say their styles are made for each other, naaaah, pacquiao’s style is made for marquez. He could go to 160 and fight a 147 version of marquez and would still struggle.
this was my response:
I tried to search it on google — apparently I didn’t have to. And majority have the same response and point of view.

prime for you is being just young… and I understand that. That’s okay.
