Roberto Duran should have RETIRED after FIRST LEONARD FIGHT!!!!!!

Just to stick it to leonard and the americans. He wouldve gone down next to SRR if he did retire right after.

Seriously what else did he have left to prove???

Personally I think Duran is the last guy that would retire just to leave behind a more perfect legacy. He didn't have **** to prove, the man just loved to kick ass and take names.

even though he took a bunch of losses after the first Leonard fight, he gets more respect from me for fighting on for as long as he did. And he didn't hesitate to get in there with some big, bad mother****ers even though he came from LW. dude was fearless.

Then he wouldn't have been one of the 10 greatest boxers that ever lived.

He shouldn't have fought Ray so soon after the first fight though, considering how huge he blew up between fights, and certainly not in a 24 ft ring.

Duran fought in 5 decades BTW Five!

He probably wouldn't be as high on historians ATG lists if he did that...

You'd be taking away the win over Barkley for the middleweight title and the brutal ass whooping of Davey Moore...

And that big KO by Hearns ....I like Duran tho

Duran accomplished other things after the first Leonard fight that further enhanced legacy.
