Input on: Saul “El Canelo” Alvarez

Me and a group of friends where discussing the Mayweather/Marques fight. And the topic diverge on who are, the new breed of Mexican boxers coming up. His name comes up the most.

Looking at his recent fights, the red headed Mexican looks fierce. At 19 with 30 bouts, under his wing. He sure has plenty of raw potential to develop.

So whats your input? Boxing Style, technique, physical attribute etc...

I'm concerned that his team might rush him to soon and that fans are going to put too much pressure on him to be the next Mexican great

from what I've seen in his fights he's really physically strong, has good pop in his punches, he dosen't really waste punches and he has nice compact form. Seems like a good prospect

i dont see anything special in him, im getting tired of people hyping him the *** up, just give Ortiz some time, he'll bounce back and become a champion

I love ortiz power...But there seems to be alot of talent in that divison, which makes it more harder to be a champion..imo ortiz is gonna have to come back in style...he left a bad taste in his last fight..Now hes gonna have to prove even more that hes the real deal.

Rushing him is probably my biggest concern as well. Golden Boy Promotions should focus, in his development. But so far he seems to be progressing just fine, at least he has bin exposed to more quality boxers then Chaves Jr.

Another thought is, the boy is clearly a counter puncher, maybe they can hook him with Nacho from the Marquez campaign.

The American public will be like.

Damn who is this White Boy kicking ass……aw **** 100% Mexican baby!

Just kidding, but I feel his French/Irish heritage will fool quite a few.
