Matchroom has a $28 million gate for a show!? Wow new news to me.
Let’s get serious here. Rygar quit and ain’t no one lining up to watch his next fight. This coming from someone who supported him and was a fan. 1.4M buyratebis nice but again let’s get serious…those buys WERE NOT bought on DAZN. Those are showtime ppv sales in america. Princess RY next fight will be against a bum at 140 broadcast on DAZN. There will be 140 people total watching that trash lmao. Ryan isn’t the face of boxing he’s the face of quitting. He drawing power moving forward ain’t gonna be what it was I promise u that. It’s asinine to keep pumping that narrative. Yes if he won you could say moving forward these numbers might be possible again but quitting like he did? Asinine to think people care about Ryan garcia as a boxer as much as they did before he fought Davis. Gravy train over. I remember when Oscar was saying he would one day fight canelo blah blah lol

He did quit. He didn't try to stand until 9 on the count. Was looking to get counted out whatever happened

But it's not a big deal. He knew he had lost. Why take a beating and shorten your career when you can come back another time?

When someone makes a habit of quitting then you worry

I love how the ones who have never stepped a foot in a boxing ring are the ones loudest criticizing Ryan. Wtf do any of them know what a liver shot feels like lol.

It will be very hard for Garcia to get such a big fight again, but with his marketability, he can still attract big names.

Disagree. If Garcia has the courage, getting another big fight will be easy. For any quality fighter, Garcia is a relatively easy fight for a big purse.

                king quit
                retired

hes already admitted he quit because of a sore rib, well if u give yourself a huge buildup telling everyone what u are going to do and do none of it and then end on one knee, expect some crap

the guy was totally not ready for a big fight like that & his team and oscar im sure all knew it too

the guy didnt even want to take his warm up incase things went wrong before his payday, my fans only want to see me in big fights he said, lol

When you spend all of your time blocked by Oscars scrotum, everything is news to you.

No you can'y say Ryan didn't quit, he remained on one knee waiting for the referee to count the fatfeul 10 count.
All the while he was looking at the referee as the ref counted, getting up from the canvass only after he was counted out.
He didn't want to experience those painful body shot's any longer, nor did he want to be spectacularly knocked out by Tank Davis.

Only he knows whether or not he quit. He's a young and still relatively inexperienced fighter who lost for the first time. Modern fans seem to think a guy's career is over if they lose a fight. That's probably why many undefeated fighters are unwilling to risk their "0". Many greats have lost and came back to achieve success. Was Joe Louis written off after the first Schmeling fight? Being undefeated is nice, but it really isn't all that crucial. Garcia has talent. It's up to him to work hard to improve and see how far his talent can take him.
