That's even after he beats Cotto to win the 147 lb world title...
As a fight fan, is it OK with you if Pac retires without fighting Floyd?

46That's just fine with me, the guy gave us a lot of memorable fights!41.30%19Nope I can't take that, it's biggest boxing fight of recent times...58.70%27Tags: None -
I would've wanted this fight to have taken place at 140lbs . In theory, the bigger man should be able to absorb the smaller man's punches better.
I always gave the edge to Floyd over PAC, just because counter-punchers are PAC's kryptonite. But, lately PAC has looked great and has carried his punch and speed at 140lbs, I dunno at 147lbs though.Comment

Yeah, he can retire no matter what happens from here on out. Pac has had plenty of good wins and a great career. It is asking too much that he compete with bigger fighters than him or lose a potential ATG status.Comment

Find a post where I said I wanted to see this. I view Pac as a blown up SFW and Floyd proved what I and many others have been saying about moving too far up in weight. Cotto will prove the same point in Nov.Comment

I would be ok with either decision but would prefer he fights pbf. Regarding your last statement, I don't think he would lose his status if he fails against pbf. IMO, win/lose/draw, a pbf fight will only add to his legacy.Comment

It would bother me, because Mayweather's other big threat is Paul Williams and that might never happen. Chances are Pacquiao vs Mayweather could go down.Comment

Hell no, it's the biggest fight to make right now. It's kinda like the Roy Jones-Dariusz Michalchewski fight never coming off or the De La Hoya-Trinidad rematch.Comment

No real problem with Pac retiring. He's great without fighting Floyd. Of course, it would be great for his legacy if he were to beat Floyd (imo will never happen), and if he loses to Floyd, no biggie, because he's losing to the best.Comment
