He is actually a promoter. That is actually what they are supposed to do - earn as much money as possible for themselves and their fighters. I would say he is the best promoter in boxing today which is not the same as putting on the best fights.

We disagree what makes the' best promoter' in a sport., the sport here being boxing. I'd say the best promoter in a sport is the one who pits the top players , fighters, athletes in that particular sport together. Not someone who can carefully guide someone , avoiding the most dangerous obstacles. along the way but cover the fact by fireworks and venues and try calling it the 'thriller in manila when its not ,Hearn is the 'best spin doctor in boxing' of that I agree Joshua , his top guy has made over £200m and made him a fortune , agreed but to my point ,who has he fought , who has this 'best promoter in boxing' put him in against , I'm sure to be the best promoter you simply promote this best against the best and Hearn simply doesn't do that. I understand your point and boxing is 'different' to many but if Hearn is the ' best promoter in boxing ' then for me the game could do so much better.

I think you're talking about best promoter fro a fans point of view. But if there was a separate hall of fame for promoters you'd probably be assessed on the following criteria:-
1/ amount of money made by promoter
2/ how many careers you successfully guided made up of matchmaking prospects to contender status to champions to maximising career earnings
            3/ Putting on memorable events
4/ Putting on great fights for fans

we are last in the pecking order. Course, if 4/ happily coincides with 1/ 2/ and 3/ then its win win all around and pull out the Havana. t
Hearn has made a boat load of money off a not spectacular roster of boxers. PBC has made great money too but they have on average a better roster of fighters.
As you point out, Joshua's earnings are spectacular testimony to maximising earnings of a B+ fighter (meaning good but flawed fighter at highest level). He's also done well by Ryder, Wood, Whyte, Callum Smith. They'll all retire rich or comfortable. He has a few failures too - Andrade being one. But that guy is an enigma unto himself.

Hearn is saying his ol' promoter words. lol

Canelo without his facial hair looks like a teenager. If you would size him up in the streets and don't know him, you'd think it'd be easy to give him an arse whooping.. lol

Nice frat boy shirt Eddie. Hearn claims that Canelo is taking a pay cut for this fight which will be in front of 50-60,000 people and on PPV for $80. Wow, what a saint that Canelo is. He really fights for legacy and his fans because the PPV for this mediocre card is $80 and 50-60,000 tickets are sold for the event.
