Yeah I always had huge hopes for Vargas, he's got talent just likes to mix it up then people start to think he has a weak chin even though he nevers stops fighting even while hurt even while losing EVEEN!!!! haha im excited but more about this saturday.

My other Favorite fighter ever for the balls he has fighting back to back known oppenents give him some respect i hope he makes a great come back.

When was he ever focused on boxing? He's been more focused on his abs rather than his chin for years now, and it has burned him every time he's tried to step up to the elite level. Vargas will crush Joval, but get dominated whenever he fights somebody that fights back, he's the Macho Camacho of this generation (not so much style-wise, but from the fact that he dominates nobodies then gets hammered by an elite fighter)

no thats not true. he gave trinidad a really good fight. trinidad even resorted to low blows and he even knocked him down. vargas was awesome but he was moved way to fast.

Joval is in there for one reason. He is a hard nosed guy that will come forward that Vargas can look spectacular against.

Don't make anything of this fight, it will be another couple of months before he fights an opponent that has a shot at beating him.

Even some of the guys on the Contender would give Vargas problems.

I want to see Vargas vs. Hopkins fight.In his comeback he need big impact
i think. Vargas losted big bouts fought for Oscal ,Tito.But that two was beated the same boxser Hopkins.So if Vargas beat Hopkins,he will retain
much better reputation and that would be a sensational come back defenetly.

he was moved too fast, after the winky fight and the way he whooped quartey his promoters got too confident and threw him in there with a much more experienced and great fighter like trinidad. if they would have waited i think he would have beat trinidad. and he was beating de la hoya but he has too much pride and that hurt him in that fight.

You can make a guy fast, you can make a guy strong, but you can't make a good chin, you got it or you don't got it, and Fernando doesn't have it....

Remember, feather-fisted Wilfredo Rivera nearly KO'd Fernando, and Trinidad nearly decapitated him in round 1....Vargas may have big cojones, but cojones don't win championships
