    Just Rewatched Pacquaio-Hatton

Man Pac is a beast. Again, one of the best bodies Ive ever seen in the sport and his whole body/fight style is like a bullet or a weapon. Vicious. Ive had the pleasure recently to watch 3 of my all time favorites in Pac, Floyd, and Mosley. I just love how those guys look in the ring. Again for the haterz, Floyd hasnt only fought Baldy & Oscar. He has had some exciting fights and not just exciting fights but his overall skill is so fun for me to watch wether you like it or not.

After rewatching Pac-Hatton, I cant want to see Pac-Cotto. Pac doesnt know anyway else to fight but a warp speed. Im not just talking about his hand speed but his overall tempo. You compound that with Cotto's power & skill and you have a must see fight. I still dont think people talk enough about the Southpaw style. It changes everything and is such a huge advantage. You could tell on that KO punch on Hatton that he either never saw it and or never thought Pac could hit him with it. If you look at fighters, they know when they are in and out of range. Hatton saw Pac **** back but Pac's left went totaly outside of where a normal punch would come from so Ricky knew he couldnt land. To top that off Hatton still stepped to the side anyways but what happened? Pac brought the punch from out the picture to hit him square in the face and it was lights out. Thats a game changer and it happeneds all the time but people dont talk about it enough. There is a reason why Sanders is the only one to give the Klit bros hell. Theyre is a reason why the only 2 guys to really stun Floyd are Zab & Chop.

Again, I remember watching Pac vs MAB when it happened. I really study that kind of stuff. I remember that early knock down clearly. Pac threw the left and MAB stepped to the side & back and Pac missed. MAB saw it coming a mile away and he did the perfect D. You cant be hit by a punch from a righty like that. Sure enough 5 seconds later Pac threw the same exact punch, MAB did the same exact step around move, and Pac caught him square in the nose. You could tell that MAB was hurt by it too. A righty and a Southpaw can throw the same exact punch with the same exact power and the Southpaw punch will hurt way more because you either cant see it coming or you can see it, put up the perfect D, and still get hit flush. Tarver-RJ 2. RJ throws the straight right and immediatly jumps back because he knows Tarver is firing the counter. RJ can see it coming a mile away and puts his right hand on the side of his face just like Floyd does. Instead the punch hits him square in the nose and he's out. He saw the punch, had what he thought was the perfect D, knew he would block it, and got dropped cold.

That same exact punch & D happened in Floyd vs Corley. Not when he really hurt Floyd but before that when he kind of buckled Floyd. Floyd saw the punch coming, put up his shoulder roll D, had his right glove right on his face where a punch cant land at all from a righty, and Chop hit him dead in the nose. It straight buckled him because Floyd saw it, knew he had great D, and knew he would block it but this is the one time it got through. Its because Chop was a Southpaw. Thats why I tell people that Pac is always going to have a shot. If he was a righty then Floyd would destroy him but Pac can catch & drop anyone. He's even better at it because he can throw that straight left accross his body. Wlad vs Sanders. There is a reason why there was never a rematch. Wlad at 1st could never see that left coming. Over & over again Sanders hit him and Wlad could never see it. After that Wlad knew it was coming every time and still couldnt stop it. It makes it hurt even more. To me it was sad to see because at the end you could see that Wlad didnt know what to do and was so desperate that he was just pushing both him arms straight out like a girl would do to try to block the punch but he couldnt.

Thats the wildcard in Pac vs Cotto and Pac vs Hatton. Pac is definatly not just a Southpaw. He has very good skill, speed & power but thats still not good enough for him to beat the very elite pure boxers. Its not enough because he still has horrible balance and is raw with overall boxing ability. If he was a righty then JMM wouldve easily beat him both times. However, it is more than enough when you take his speed, power, movement, and add that to him being Southpaw. Now you have hell to deal with because most guys just arent use to seeing it, just arent use to things coming from the opposite way. Even Foreman use to always say that when your against a Southpaw you may think you have stepped out of range but your not. They can still hit you and hit you flush. That makes the Cotto fight so interesting and it all will be fun to watch.
