Comments Thread For: Eubank on Turning Down Benn Fight: It Was a Substantial Offer; Fight Needs To Happen in the UK

In the end, Chris Eubank Jr. could not get himself to reschedule a fight with Conor Benn. The veteran British middleweight instead is moving forward with a contractually obligated rematch with Liam Smith, who, in one of the year's biggest upsets, beat him by fourth-round stoppage in January at AO Arena in Manchester.

Fight will always be there for you doe. You can lose multiple times against non-Benn fights and those promoters would still not stop salivating over what they call the Benn vs Eubank trilogy. It's so silly.

Boxing is weird and sometimes sad when you consider this kid hasn't beaten anyone and is coming coming off a KO loss to a decent but old and smaller opponent and he talks about filling football stadiums based on nothing but his dads name.Sad when there's much better fighters and much better fights out there.

It didn't happen because Bbbofc threatened he'd lose his british license if he fights against Benn in the middle east

I couldn't say a bad word for CEJ as a person, although, as a boxer, I could say a lot. He isn't quick or clever enough to employ the strategies he tries to use & he has the entirely false idea that he's a puncher, which he isn't. Conor Benn is a PED-cheating scoundrel with the morality of a sewer rat who has ducked every possible opponent with the assistance of his promoter Eddie Hearn, & don't even get me started on that PoS.

Hearn/Natchroom should be sanctioned by BBBC for trying to promote a fight where any licence holders were threatened with sanctions.
