I don't remember someone holding the title this long without fighting. Injuries are one thing but mental issues anyone can say that. He needs to be given a date he has to defend by or get stripped.

As a fan of both Charlo brothers, Jermall needs to go ahead and fight his tune up in June or July, and fight Adames immediately after, because Carlos has earned his shot and has been waiting for too long.

I get it, but who is he supposed to fight after being out of the ring for almost 2 years? So, he should just set himself up for failure and jump in with a champion or interim champion? That would be the dumbest business decision ever.

Anyone can say he's having back problems or any other illness without providing proof. And why would sitting around and doing nothing can solve wife issues? Familiarity breeds contempt, as the saying goes. Such excuses are insulting to anyone who hears them. Especially when September of last year he and his trainer, Shields, came out and calling out Golovkin. Then just weeks ago he called out Bivol in his face. What the hell was that all about? You either have injury / personal issues or you don't. Just stop fooling people.

I believe it's about fear of losing. Losing once is a horrible thing in the sport of boxing.

He was going thru some stuff with his (soon to be ?) ex wife. Also I read he may possibly be losing his house in his potential divorce. Family stuff.

I agree with a previous poster saying just make him Champ in Recess and give the full title to the active champion.
