there was always going to be a bunch of excuses drip fed out in the weeks after the fight, why i was shaking my head at people saying he took the defeat with class... at least he has admitted he quit (which was glaringly obvious considering he sprung up as soon as it was waved off) so we dont have to put up with the whole 'you cant comment unless you have been a pro boxer' BS and people making out he was nearly paralysed by the shot

I'm not going to say "don't comment unless you've been a pro boxer", but I will say that you clearly have never had a rib injury. Just because you can stand doesn't mean you can move or throw punches.

These excuses were not "drip fed out", that is a very ignorant comment. Ryan never mentioned this in any of the interviews, and only because of Tank mentioning it before the fight, and Goosen directly after do we know about it.

Funny thing is Tank and his team weren't as confident as you lol they needed that rehydration clause, gloves, ref, and judges.

That clause made a huge difference that's a fact Ryan looked skinny and depleted than when at 140.

I knew it wasn't a liver shot. It didn't hit the right part of his side to be a liver shot. I figured it maybe broke his rib, but if he had a preexisting injury there, that makes sense.

I felt he did take the defeat with class. He made the comments to his corner that he got hit in the ribs, which it was known before the fight that he got dropped by a shot from his sparring partner in the ribs. Just because someone gets up, doesn't mean they are able to fight. He absolutely quit, but he was only able to get up, he was unable to get up and continue fighting.
