Comments Thread For: Haney: I'm Better Than Lomachenko In Every Aspect & Attribute
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Confidence is supreme for Devin Haney ahead of his date with Vasiliy Lomachenko on May 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on ESPN+ pay-per-view.

I'm torn between thinking Loma is oth (over the hill) or . . . he just fought a sparring partner who is an absolute animal (Jamaine Ortiz). Loma looked like the matrix with Commey and Nakatani.
Huggy bear is technically sound and patient. Loma may be desperate for those belts. I want Loma to win for his legacy but I'm afraid Haney will jab his little eyeballs out for 12 rounds.
I think Haney is the faster, stronger, and more skilled fighter. But Loma is very crafty. He uses the tricks and slickness of a veteran. Proof shown in the later rounds of his bout with Teofimo. Haney has made the type of amateur mistakes that amateur fighters make when tired and late in a fight. As long as he doesn't make these type of mistakes against Loma, he should win.

Ortiz was a little more athletic than Commey and Nakhatani and could box. Just a better quality opponent.. and not flat-footed like most of the guys Loma fought at 135.
I like how every in the media and the comments section is trying to wipe away the fact that there is only a one inch height difference between Haney and Lomachenko.
I pointed this out in their last press conference too when they were doing a face off that there was barely a height difference at all and Loma fans tried to pretend they didn't see it.
