Canelo has to actually fight Benavidez for that to happen. So far he has shown no interest and deserves every bit of criticism for it. If he has "haters," so what. All fighters do.

I have wanted to see the fight but Benavides kept losing his titles and did not have a meaningful win. With the Plant victory he either the top contender or second behind Bivol. The haters here don't give credit after the victory and I have one here calling me a fanboy when I have been critical to Canelo over the years.

I didn't know that so many were going to get triggered with my first post. The same thing happened when Canelo challenged Bivol. I said I have never seen Bivol go on second gear and go to another level, he was bigger and skilled. Got a lot of flak for that and look what happened.

I will continue to say if Canelo fights Benavides and wins they will call Benavides a bum. I stated numerous time that I want to see that fight and no more than ever with that good win against Plant.
