The mistake in Lopez is commentators have nothing to do with the outcome of the fight. I've seen fights where commentators scored the fight in favor of the loser. Blame the judges, just to make the story short.

I don't believe they're racist. But two things can be true at the same time.

Top Rank is promoting black fighters because right now, the only good fighters that are performing well for Top Rank are black fighters. If they were all Latinos, I think Bob Arum would be wearing sombreros at every promotion. Top Rank doesn't care about the color of anyone's skin, as long as their bank account is green.

Secondly, Teo just needs to accept the fact that he underperformed in his last two performances. I did not listen to the commentary during his fights but he still lost both (in my opinion). Can't blame others for your own failures. Teo's schtick became tiresome. Look for a new marketing strategy. Fighting strategy (learn diff types of footwork to close the gap since he has a shorter reach for his height/weight). Train differently. Win. Once you do people will follow you.
