Gerald McClellan was permanently injured in his last fight.

He was p4p one of the hardest punchers, at the time, and was a real threat to anyone. In his last fight he suffered a blood clot in his head and collapsed after the fight and went into a comma. Today, he can hardly see or hear anything but he has improved his ability to walk with a cane.

Mesi had cranial bleedin or sumthin.

And as far as visible injuries, Chico gettin his mouthguard knocked thru his cheek was nasty.

His KO loss to Gatti was maybe the most brutal to watch. BTW, funny avatar.

The question is worst boxing injuries. If anyone here considers death an injury, then you're right on point.

Let's go with only people that survived for the sake of the thread.
