Oh, but you don’t like his style. It doesn’t match up well with Canelo right? So he doesn’t deserve his shot. Somehow.
Nah Ryder just sucks. He shouldn't be in that ring whatsoever. He's a manufactured opportunity for an easy fight.

Nice try. He 'beat' Smith in November 2019.

      At that time :-
Plant was in the division as was BJS.
Also Canelo had one foot in the SMW division as he has beaten Fielding already.
Also Benavizez was a recently crowned champ having just beaten Dirrell.

      - Smith was ABSOLUTELY NOT proven to be the best at 168 at all. You prove you are the best by becoming undisputed as Canelo did - and even then he still had [has] un-finsihed business with Benavidez.

The best names on Ryder's resume are
      BJS - lost
Jacobs - won on cards but lost in ring
Smith - lost on cards but won in ring

as I said he is competent fighter - but no way has he 'earned' this fight unless you count just sticking around as earning

Smith was the best at 168. He was number 1, he was lineal. He destroyed Groves. BJS did nothing at 168. Benavidez did nothing. Plant did nothing.

Ok - give up - can open a book for a student but that won't help an illiterate. Groves you say ?
