"I ran into a big shot and, I mean, that’s what I get." - Ryan Garcia

That was the plan all along Ryan, and you fell right into the trap! No discipline, that's what Canelo warned us about!

Bernard Hopkins Explains Why No Show For Ryan Garcia Post-Fight Press Conference

Bernard Hopkins says he and Oscar De La Hoya chose not to stand with Ryan Garcia at the post-fight press conference because they didn’t want to make it a “circus” after his loss to Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis last Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Boxing fans on social media have criticized De La Hoya & Hopkins for not with Ryan during the post-fight press conference. They feel that they abandoned him.

Hopkins states that Golden Boy president Eric Gomez was by Ryan’s side during the press conference, so he and Oscar weren’t needed. Bernard says he didn’t want to make it a “s**t show” by being there because the fight had no controversy, and the outcome was clear.

“First of all, we had Eric Gomez, the president of Golden Boy, and second it wasn’t going to be about Oscar and Bernard Hopkins,” said Bernard Hopkins to Fighthype on why he and Oscar De La Hoya didn’t attend Ryan Garcia’s post-fight press conference last Saturday night after his loss to Gervonta Davis...

Oscar probably didn't want the media referencing Ryan losing to Tank, the way Oscar lost to B-Hop!

His plan was to stay out of the exchanges with Garcia in order to avoid a firefight; For fear of getting clipped and caught in the exchanges himself. He succeeded. He was never hurt by Ryan.

You never punch with a puncher. You counter punch them just like he did. Gervonta has learned that lesson a very long time ago but obviously Ryan has not.

One can say what they will about Davis but he is one of the most complete, scientific and fundamentally sound boxers in the fight game today. He set Garcia up beautifully each time he touched the canvas.
That's why I would love to see Tank vs. Shakur, for all the reasons you so eloquently mentioned above! Great Post!

Learn from loss, get few wins under belt and fight Tank again with no cw, and no hydration clause. I want to know how good you are, and to know how good Tank is

Garcia fought ****** and is likely to end up being a poor man’s version of Amir Khan. Super fast but with a faulty chin that gets exposed often due to his poor technique. Difference is Amir didn’t quit in the ring until he was older. Ryan already did it at 23.

Tank won't fight Shakur or Haney in a million years. All his lame a$$ closeted fans will excuse the duck behavior. Fights will NEVER happen.

So, what's next for Twitter tank?

-Prison(hopefully he learns to read, write and speak proper English for however long he's in there).
                    -Issac 'Chihuahua' Cruz
                    -Another 130lber dragged up prematurely.
                    - Another drained 140lber.
                    - More instagram lives he stutters through about how "no one can touch him"

Just another manufactured star who's guts don't match his mouth.

Great post. The way he used his cat like reflexes to duck those fast hooks was a thing of beauty.
