Alen Babic got defeated for the first time...

... on big fight nights smaller events like this get overshadowed.

Babic was a fun boxer who attracted fans for his personality. I think everyone knew he was never going to win a world title or anything, but his sprawling heavyweight style was fun to watch.

It was only a matter of time before he got beat, really, I just didn't expect it in his 11th fight (nearly a year out of the ring??) and in the first round:

He is an entertaining journeyman, I still want him in some undercard fights fighting low level heavyweights.

I see the guy he fought was 13-0 (12 KOs) and on his way up .... the commentary team talk about him being the "home fighter" and how he was expected to win. Biggest name at this point was Artur Szpilka, with Łukasz Różański doing a much quicker job on him than Wilder or Chisora.

That's the harsh reality of boxing, isn't it? One day you're a fun, crowd-friendly fighter who gets put on cards because you entertain, the next day you're hired as "the opponent".

Yeah, he's always worth a watch, isn't he?

I take it you meant "an" rather than "un" btw?
