If I was on my way to eternal hellfire, and I had to pick one fighter in a tournament of the best HW champs of all time to save me by posting the best W-L record, I'd pick Vitali Klitschko and be very confident of my salvation.

FACTS about Vitali Klitschko:
- WBC heavyweight champion of the world
- All Time Great and Hall Of Famer
- Has never truly lost
- There is no blueprint to beat him
- He is unbeatable
- Has dominated every opponent he has ever faced
- Has never been behind on the scorecards at the end of a fight
- Has never been knocked down
- Greatest heavyweight champ KO% of all time
- Only man ever to be world heavyweight champ in boxing and kickboxing
It's a shame that injuries/4 year layoff robbed him of a stronger resume. He was WBC and RING undisputed HW Champ when he retired in 2004. We never got to see his true prime. If Vitali had stayed healthy, he would've dominated the HW division from 2005-2008 and his resume would've been on par with Wladimir's great resume.
Vitali is 40 years old now. He came back after the 4 year layoff and is still dominating the HW division. He hasn't lost a single round in his comeback.
Vitali beats any HW from any era.

Who knows what the results would have been against boxer a or boxer b.
One thing I know is that the skills, size and chin Vitali has would make him competitive with anyone.

yes vitali has the skills and the chin to give them all hell!
wladimir not so much because hes not a natural fighter like vitali!
but wladimir is also a great champion who came back after bad knockout losses
and proved everybody wrong ! thats how champions do it! lets see what haye does!

He'd certainly be competitive, and in most eras would have a chance to beat the best heavyweights of that era. The only time period I couldn't see him dropping into and being one of the 3 best heavyweights is the 60s-70s. Maybe the 90s too.

Vitali would be succesfull in any Eta. i would put my Money on Vitali against every Fighter in history. that don't means that he would beat everybody for sure, but there is no Opponent, that He possibly could not Beat. i see him as one of the Top 10 HW's of all Time, maybe Top 5. he has everything whats needed to be an ATG, no doubt. Look at the lewis Fight, yeah, He Lost it, but he showed the World, that he is a warrior.
