This was all hype. Face of boxing? Why would any knowledgeable boxing fan be excited about seeing Garcia after he left the Reynoso camp and has had problems outside the ring just like many fighters. The average boxing fan is just not the same as before the internet era when you really had to watch fights to know anything about boxing. Boxing mostly marketing these days.

I think Garcia could have a good future in boxing but he needs to move up to welterweight. He just doesn't look like his body is made for anything lighter than welter.

Most likely he will be Broner 2.0. Cashing out losing to guys bigger than him very soon.

If he wants to avoid that destiny, he must lose some weight and fight at 135.

I would just love to hear again how ggg who has 7 top 10 wins is a hype job while tank Davis with 0 is headlining ppvs and is the face of boxing.

Can’t compare really I’d say Ryan is better than anyone G fought but again rankings which are subjective is tough to argue against I mean Puello was the best 140 in the world according to the wba

I can remember people complaining about ggg vs brook yet tank vs Santa Cruz? Oh and for context ggg already pursued the top guys and many top 10 guys and oh yeah they all said no so he fought brook.Tank simply went straight for Santa Cruz while ignoring everyone else in his division.

Now tank is catch weighting and rehydrating and his fans are furiously moving the goalposts. Oh all that stuff was bad according to me? Well tank is a star! Don't be a hater! Tank would beat everyone around!!!

He's better how? Based on what? Better than canelo? Hmm ok. No. When did garcia ko a top 3 guy like Jacobs? Never. When did he beat 2 top 5 guys like geale? Never. When did he get robbed against the champ like martin Murray? Never. His resume isn't even as good as muratas but in fantasy land yeah he's better.

IM going by the ring rankings and Garcia wasn't ranked in the top 10 at 140. Yeah 2 and a half years ago he was top 5 at 135 but they didn't even fight there lol. If everything is subjective why not fight the higher ranked guys? Makes you look better no? If it's so easy to beat them like ggg did why hasn't tank done it once?
