Right on....exactly the way I see it. You don't hook with a hooker and you don't win fights being a lessor copy of the guy on the other side of the ring.

Ryder closes fast but he doesn't have the hand speed, power or length to keep Canelo outside, he's simply not Bivol. What Ryder is known for is his durability, good sound skills and an inside game that never lets his opponent rest. Canelo is tough to catch clean, he's a crafty counter puncher and he's better inside with an assortment of weapons and damaging power.

The way I expect it to play out:
Ryder's southpaw stance will keep things close until Canelo's lands debilitating body shots both inside and out. At some point I expect Ryder to attempt to protect his body and that's when Canelo starts landing uppercuts. The uppercuts are a sign, the beginning of the end, the point when every shot hurts and Ryder realizes that plan A, B and C won't save him but he won't quit, his corner will need save him from himself.
