For sure that Floyd was/is a boxing and a business genius but he also showed the art / blueprint of timing in picking the right name at the right time i.s handpicking which lead nowadays to a bunch of hyped fighters being inactive, protecting their 0s, holding belts hostage, fighting good names on their way out/past of their primes, running their mouths on social media to create more buzz, more padded records, etc, etc Pretty much what FMJ did back in the day.

Floyd was obsessed with keeping his 0 safe, fighting once or twice per year, keeping a belt hostage and avoiding his mandatories, not trying to unify all the titles, handpicking big names but at a certain time of their careers, being flashy, ****y, talking smack, etc.

Thats why boxing nowadays is in a weak era.

Well yeah he needed Floyd to help with that negotiation so Garcia wouldn't have any bigger advantages than what is given.

I say this all the time. Still had his speed, decent power, combos and of course the defense. Wish he would have stayed there longer.
