More power to Floyd for selling over 1Million PPV

but I believe alot of that has to do with the $25 Teacate rebate.

    What im really curious is..

The fight was shown at 170 theaters..

and say each one had a room of 200?

Does every single person who bought a ticket to watch it at the theaters count?

Cause if so, this is probably where the sales got the big boost from.

      200 x 170 = 34,000 Only

And from what I understand they have nothing to do with PPV buys.

They used a lot of new techniques to promote this fight, should use them in the future.

Why do people keep talking about 5 months of promotion? Thats not even true. Sure the fight took place 5 months after it was announced but its not like it was a non stop promo tour. They did there normal tour and when the fight got postponed, so did the promotion. They werent doing anything and this fight got relatively liight buzz compared to any major fight. You know its true. Floyd basicaly sold this on his own. No one inside of boxing talked about this fight except when it was to diss it and say how bad it would do and you didnt see anything out of the regular in terms of promoting it. Most people actually felt that the postponment would hurt it because of the fact that they did the big tour and you usually want to have the fight not long after that but they actually did the tour, and then had to wait to have the fight many months later. Give Floyd his due and stop acting like it was 5 months of non stop promotion like this was the biggest fight in the world

Dono how the **** a fight that sells 1 mill ppv buys and has theathres 80-85 percent packed like a brand new movie came out doesn't sell out all of it's seats.
