Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis on Garcia's KO Prediction: I Think He's Trying To Hype Himself To Get Into The Fight

Gervonta "Tank" Davis is less than two weeks away from his scheduled grudge match with "King" Ryan Garcia, which headlines a Showtime Pay-Per-View card on Saturday, April 22, from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

As strange as it may sound, Romero showed the blueprint to beating Davis; fight long, be patient, apply smart pressure, cut the ring and land the straight right hand. If Garcia can do this for the 12 rounds, WITHOUT lunging in, dropping his hands, losing his cool and being reckless, I believe he can get the win.

Might not even have to do it for 12, Gervonta does have a bad habit on lunging recently, he did it a few times in the Romero and H. Garcia fights. Ryan may be quick enough to make Tank pay for it.

I still slightly favor Davis but it's going to be competitive until the end rather that comes early or late.

You do know that Rolly was down on the judges scorecards when Tank knocked him out, right? All of that is good advice, until he gets hit. I mean a hit like he's never felt before.

Besides, Ryan has never fought smart and disciplined, he gives up his height advantage by barely using the jab to set up his shots, he's a plodding forward offensive fighter instead of using his natural athleticism, his defense is horrible, pulling straight back with his chin in the air and head on the line, and he throws the same punches; left hook, straight right , left hook to the body, straight right, rinse and repeat. He's got a week and a half before his power gets shut off.

Agree with Ryan. This the most trash mouth Davis has been in a fight. Add to the crybaby demands

That means absolutely nothing. I remember Mosley saying the same about Mayweather, so did Oscar. Fighters are always looking for something to give them an edge. We don't have to. Let's see what they do in the ring. It's a 50/50 to me.

First, Rolly was losing that fight. Second, if you really watch it, you can see the moment/round Tank figured him out and started to sit on his shots. Watch all of his training. He practices moving backwards until he get timing and a power check. You may see that this fight too. It doesn't mean he's scare or losing. It's their strategy. Benevidez does something similar, very low output in the early rounds.

People in hell think ice water will help! This kid is crazy reckless and has many bad habits, he was picked on purpose.

I dont think people give Tank enough credit for boxing ability and IQ he isn't just a power puncher he is thinking and adjusting in the ring on the fly. I do think Ryan has a chance but I'm picking Tank for the win.
