And will you give Mosley credit if he beats Berto? You have to remember that this is a guy who a lot of people think got beat by a guy that Shane Mosley dominated and Berto nearly got KOd by a Mexican journeyman on ESPN who had a KO loss himself to Zab Judah and went on to get starched by Alfredo Angulo. This also won't be a unification fight, because the WBC is already talking about stripping Berto. If Shane takes this fight, he will win, but it will make a Floyd-Mosley fight even more meaningless because that will mean that it would have to take place probably later in the year instead of early 2010. The only good this fight will do is be a guage to see how much the time off has affected Mosley. Mosley did bring the lack of activity on himself somewhat I'll admit. But Mayweather needs to fight Mosley ASAP. Discuss.
Question to Floyd stans. Why do you want to see Mosley fight Berto?

Agreed, I would be happy with alot of different matchups for Floyd... As long as he doesn't come out of left field with some ****, then it will be all good. Patience.Comment

And when I say that the Mayweather-Mosley fight will be more meaningless if Mosley fights Berto first, I mean that Mosley will be older in age even though I think he would dominate Berto. But Mosley's age has no bearing on how I think he'd do against Berto. I think Berto is the one who fights like a 40 year old even though both guys have clinched quite a bit here lately. But the difference is Berto does chicken **** clinching, and Mosley using will-imposing clinching.Comment

Floyd should Face the winner of Pac and Mosley. Depending on who he faces first would change some things. Like if Floyd faces Pac/Cotto first then Mosley will probably face Berto first and Floyd would face that winner.Comment

I think it's become quite clear yesterday that Mayweather does not want to fight Mosley next and only wants Pacquiao (though he doesnt admit it)... But I give Mosley huge credit for beating a much younger, faster, and powerful fighter in Berto... And Mosley beating Berto gives Mayweather much more reason to fight him in late 2010, a unified Welterweight Champion...Comment

Floyd and Shane are 2 of my top fighters i want Shane to fight again soon and i would like him to face another top WW just to prove the Marg performance wasnt a 1 time thing.
Which sadly i think it was..
Otherwise if Floyd beats him people will just say oh wellMosley was old FLoyd shud beat him.Comment

Pay attention to my opening post on this thread I made. The WBC is talking about stripping Berto, and Mosley isn't a mandatory because he holds another title himself. And don't you remember that the only reason that Berto holds the WBC belt is because Floyd left it behind and Sulimain made Micky Rodriguez a #2 contender?I think it's become quite clear yesterday that Mayweather does not want to fight Mosley next and only wants Pacquiao (though he doesnt admit it)... But I give Mosley huge credit for beating a much younger, faster, and powerful fighter in Berto... You're exactly right about that. The more days that go by, the worse it will get. The only way this fight gets anymore meaningful is when both guys have dry ink on the contract. But I guess Floyd and his fans want to do another Calzaghe by waiting until Mosley has wrinkles in his face.Originally posted by manglerThe older SSM gets, the more they can say Mr boat buyer shouldn't have to fight him.Comment
