How good is this guy???


He has fought Zab Judah and Floyd and he hurt floyd bunch of times but I dont know to much about him except his a southpaw and he likes burger king but sometimes in fights he cant have it his way.



Also what is his fighting style in terms of is he a boxer/puncher or a defensive type of guy????

He didn't hurt Floyd "a bunch of times" in fact it's arguable he even hurt him at all. He did rock Miguel Cotto really badly though and almost KO'd him.

He wasn't considered a huge puncher earlier in his career but some people claim he kind of like Paul Williams started putting more into his punches, or perhaps training specifically for power a little bit more, later in his career like in the last 2 years because if you notice almost all of his wins in the past 2 years have been by KO. So basically it seems suddenly in the latter part of his career he starts knocking everyone out however the competition level obviously has always gone down so it's arguable that he's knocking out bums but that's another story altogether that I'm not going to get into now.



skip to the 9 minute mark in this video and watch the 3rd round. Corley basically almost finishes Cotto off, it's probably the closest Cotto has ever come to being truly KO'd apart from the Margarito match. When the vid ends click part 2 to watch the rest of Cotto getting staggered.

The .gif/clip of Floyd being "staggered" by Corley that floats around sometimes is misleading because Corley is visibly stepping on Floyd's foot.

He's underrated in terms of being a quality contender. He used to be very solid and was a test for the elite level. He is now a journeyman.


Also, he's easily the worst finisher I've ever seen.

I would call him a journeyman now but a few years back i believe he held a strap.

I just remember that one part for some reason I thought it happend bunch of times.


Anyway glad floyd won since I am a mayweather fan but I definatly am interested to getting to know the rest of the guys in the lower level as well.
