Holmes used to say all's copy style. But I don't think that.
Indeed Holmes sometimes dancing like all but Holmes fight was much strong
than all.strong jab he has and more offensive than all I think.
But in prime times all was much better dancer in the ring, best shuffle master I think.Comment

Early in his career, like a lot of fighters, Holmes showed he could get up on his toes and move around. He did pattern himself after Ali to a certain extent and it showed.
But later on his career (like a lot of fighters), Holmes got much more flatfooted, and sat down on his punches a lot more. He still moved and could change directions, etc., but he never got on his toes and danced anymore. It actually helped his power, especially his jab, which was a basically an annoyance when he was dancing, but it was a hard, stinging, long range weapon when he sat down on it.
Now, I hope that helps answer your questions, but I gotta tell ya, much as I like talking about footwork, all this going on about fighters' feet is starting to creep me out!
What's next? "Would Tyson look good in red pumps?" "Would Vitali wearing stilletos hurt his power?"

hell no that prime holmes could beat prime tyson. why is so many think prime holyfield, holmes, lewis etc could beat tyson?.Originally posted by KimmyHolmes could move pretty good in his prime. He used to mimick Ali allot of the time during his fights and snake out the jab. He wasn`t what you`d call a natural mover but he learnt it well, well enough to win a round against a prime Tyson!Comment
